As VirtualRPC is a Windows task if Windows runs slowly then VirtualRPC
will also do so. As a simple guide the following *might* help:

>From Windows delete all temp files
Clear your internet cache
Uninstall anything that you don't actually use
If you have Norton or MacAfee get rid of them and install AVG Free.
Run a registry cleaner (bacjup registry before hand)
Defrag the main harddisc - do this repeatedly until the defrag takes no
more then a couple of minutes
Restart the machine

If you have less than 1GB of RAM (even for XP) think about increasing it.

With Windows restarted press CTRL ALT DELETE to bring up the
Windows task manager. Go to Processes - System Idle (at the bottom)
needs to be in the 90's - if it isn't what's chewing CPU time?
