[Virtualacorn-list] Failed to create primary surface

I have been using Virtual Acorn on my new Toshiba laptop with
Vista home premium service pack 2 for a few months now and it
works very well, but about twice a week I get the following error
message: "Failed to create primary surface" (0x8876024e).

When I get this message I have to close VA and restart, not a huge
problem except from losing any unsaved data.

Has anyone encountered this error message and have they been able
to find out what it means and/or how to fix it?

The error message numbers (0x8876024e) are exactly the same each
time it occurs and I have no idea why it randomly takes out VA on
Vista, usually after turning on after going into hibernation,
though it never happened with windows XP on my old laptop.
