[Virtualacorn-list] Failed to create primary surface

I had this problem a few times in the past; my laptop (Toshiba Equium) where VA was situated came up with all sorts of weird screens until I discovered that leaving the machine alone until it had finished its start up procedures, at that time about 4-5 minutes, VA started without a problem. After re-installing Vista and cutting down the amount of disc thrashing at start up I have a working machine in just over a minute, about the same speed as my 15-year-old RPC that does a lot of boot running of apps before it settles down.

Possible moral: let Windows settle down before starting VA...
