Under VirtualRPC it doesn't matter how the printer is physically
connected. Provided you have a RISC OS driver for the printer
(and I assume you do as the "older" VRPC works OK) and also
provided that Windows can print to the printer then setup is as
per the manual. In brief:
Install the RISC OS PDF (Printer Definition File) in the normal way.
Run ShowPrinters (in the HostFS::Harddisc4.$.Printing) directory.
Take a note of the name of the printer you want to use.
Set the RISC OS PDF to print to file with a name of HostFS::xxxxx
(where xxx is the printer name as reported by ShowPrinters)
Save Choices from the Printers iconbar menu.
If you get a disc not found error then the printer name wasn't
correctly entered.
That should do it.
