[Virtualacorn-list] File errors

Using VRPC-SE 1.0.6 under Windows XP I've had an annoying problem with
some files I can't get rid of. They are called 'nul/png' or close
variation and came with a website download. WeGen2 seems to create them.

I get the following from the RISCOS filer (RISOS 4.02):

Rename to l/png Internal error
Rename to nul/p ...already exists
Delete Internal error
Copy to parent dir Incompatible Host
Info gives size as 67 Access WR/wr
Count " " " 0
Stamp No change
Shift/click Opens in Zap - no contents
                    Mode -byte 00000000:
                    Wordcount = 0
Set filetype DOS No change
Save file of same name over it - Incompatible Host
I can't see a way to make use of DiscKnight which sees only ADFS::IDEDisc4

On the Windows side
Double click opens blank in P & F viewer
Delete cannot delete - 'the parameter is incorrect'
Rename & cut do the same

Even starting the PC in DOS mode (or as close as I can get it in XP) I
can't delete the file.

Any ideas how I can get rid of these files which are halting backups and
really screwing up XP operating system. I presume the chars 'nul' are
reserved under XP.

The best I have been able to achieve is that it is possible to shift drag
the CONTAINING directory to another directory, as I presume this is not
copying the disc data area, but simply rewriting the index ref. So I now
have a whole cluster of these under C:\DamagedFiles\zzwebsite.

Your thoughts please.

Barry
