Presumably you return to the RO desktop using your host OS to select the
VRPC application window.
But before that I am guessing that you were in VRPC and somehow signalled
that you want to go to the host OS. I wonder if something's happening as
you leave VRPC that's perhaps not properly being set/cleaned-up, so that
when you return there it causes a problem.
What you describe doesn't sound like one rogue CR, but instead a
never-ending supply of them, or possibly a mouse-scroll operation that's
sending lots of scroll-downs?
I wonder if it's a coincidence that the VRPC keyboard allows one to use
Alt-CR as a windows-mouse-caret / windowed/fullscreen toggle? Does the
problem happen if you run VRPC non-fullscreen?
