But I was still hoping that I might summon the courage to do this test,
while aware that I was chickening out of it.

The occasion of my last public report, not complaint as I try to avoid
complaining, about this problem was a note to the forum on Virtual
Acorn.

I would be very grateful if you would believe that I had a genuine
problem in deciding whether I could use this feature. I have been using
RISC OS for many years now and have an enormous amount of data that is
most valuable to me. I back up extensively but still do not wish to
risk losing it.

Please believe me when I say that I have a lot of precious data on this
machine and don't wish to lose it.

I will try because I have a few recurrences of the problem recently,
though not so much as previously as I have had to abandon Messenger on
RISC OS as it was losing messages and have moved to Messenger on the
Mac.
