I had weird problems with one of those - in the end I changed to a USB
KVM, and all works well.
The problems in my case, with a converter that took keyboard and mouse
PS2s, and supplied one USB, was that sometimes moving the mouse would
cause random keypresses to be seen, usually top-bit-set characters. It
did this even without a keyboard connected.
