[Virtualacorn-list] RISC OS 6 startup problem

Hi all,

I have just moved my VA installation across to another PC.  Now RISC 
OS 6 will not startup.  Booting to RISC OS 4 is fine.

At it's  simplest level.  I have stated VRPC, done the softload then 
hit Escape to drop to the command line, before 6 starts with disk 
based  boot sequence.  On the command line, I have typed "desktop" to 
enter the desktop.  At this point the screen just goes blank and 
nothing happens.  Makes  no difference if in full screen mode or 
window.

Also tried reinstalling RO6 from the Select 5i1 CD.  Same problem

Running Virtual RPC-SE v1.6
Base OS 4.02
Softloading OS RISC OS Select 5i1
VRPC RAM 128 (have tried various from 16Mb upwards)

PC details (load of stuff, not sure if relevant)
