Now if I change (in Config) Input > Keyboard from USA to UK the shift
2 & 3 keys produce " and £ instead of @ and # as under keyboard USA.  The
main problem is that under neither selection do the above key ranges
work.

I wonder if John Tytgat has produced a module that would do this.
